Allyson's Flowers ( an order gatherer),gave me an order in December, gave me a credit card and we agreed to a 80-20 split.... , but I charged them sales tax... they did not give me a tax exempt # or request no tax - I got a call from them demanding I refund the sales tax ($2.03) or thet will dispute the charge... I said I would not becuse I need a sales tax cert. and wondered why they made such a big deal about the $2.03 - I got about 8 calls from them demanding this credit for tax, and finally got mad and said no and hung up on them...
** I got a bad review on Yahoo from "sender of flowers" a few days after this happened.. they said I was rude and overcharged them and I hung up on them....

** This "sender of flowers" has written 216 reviews on flower shops... about 98% very bad, saying the same things that they said about me, also posting that a shop is not "real" and don't use them, and other complaints.....

** However if you go to Allyson's Flowers, this same person has nothing but good things to say and all five star reviews....

Did you know they were an order gatherer when they placed the order? I have to say that I would not necessarily have known that this was not a brick and mortar shop.

Can you rebut the review at all? Make your own comment on what occurred? I would try that. And in the future I'm sure they will not be getting any of their orders filled by you, am I right?

This company does not seem to understand that there are only so many florists and once they've pulled this little act they will have few florists to choose from. I'm seriously considering only accepting fsn orders because I know they keep all of these og's out of their line-up of florists.

Hate to break it to you, but that shop writes nasty reviews about florists who refuse to fill their orders, too. (Just take a quick look at the many, many one-stars they've dished out.)

I ran across that user ID about a year ago and just shook my head. Unbelievable they've gotten away with the reputation-tarnishing trash posts for so long.

The ultimate irony is that this anti-WS shop uses so many TF images on their site. And according to a review about their shop, they skim:
I would not recommend this florist at all!!!! Ordered funeral flowers total of $74.65. When I arrived at funeral there was a small plant basket with 3 carnations there. Allyson's had sent it to a local florist in Mo. and the total she received for the order was $43.20. I have a copy of what Allyson's shop sent to local florist, so I know for sure what the total was. After complaining they offered me $60.00 of my $75.00 back and were demanding full refund from the local florist. In short they were charging me $31.45 on the original transfer of order, and still intended to charge me $14.65 and be out nothing but a phone call after they were caught ripping me off. I am suppose to be getting a full refund now but I still haven't seen any credit on my card. I have tried to talk to owner but they always say unavailable and everyone there seems to be named Cathy. I know I will never use them again and will be surprised if I see my money. The local florist is getting nothing but the knowledge to NEVER TAKE ANOTHER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN.

The worst thing about their MO is that they seem to have no limits as to how low they'll go to inflict pain on anyone who doesn't accept their orders exactly the way they want.

Bigger irony: Teleflora let's them...and has been for years.

Allyson's, like Cathy said has been running this game for a long time, amazingly they are still doing it. One has to wonder...
 
A bit more to this story... Allyson's is owned by the folks at Amy's Plantrex. Amy's is a long-time TF dOG and was using city doorway pages plus Google AdWords to appear like local flower shops all over the US. Their contact info is the same address as Allyson's.

Back in 2009, someone from Allyson's showed up here at FC under the user name Nomorewire (and quickly got outed as an OG - and they haven't been back to visit since.)

Their other Yahoo reviewer IDs (see here and here) left a few 5-star reviews for some of their fake locations (Columbus OH, San Antonio TX, Cincinnati). Unreal that they would have phony local listings and then hit real local shops with 1-stars for refusing to fill some of their illegally gathered orders. Hysterical they call out Just Flowers for their fake local listings.

Tom - make sure you have as many people as possible mark that review as 'unhelpful'. IIRC, if enough folks do that, the review may vanish. Worth a try. :)

I marked it as unhelpful as well and posted a comment asking if they placed the order for personal use or as an "order gatherer". At least that may flag to others that it's not a regular customer. BTW Tom....other reviews were fabulous! Way to go!

I gave it a thumbs down, on Yahoo! Here is a link to the review. I found it interesting that nobody elses unhelpful showed but maybe that was in google instead of yahoo.

Shameful!

Clearly Tom, you are one of the good guys judging by the other reviews.
 
I marked it as unhelpful and sent an abuse record to Yahho. Asked them to look into the fact that all of the reviews appeared to be for florists and bogus and worthy of an investigation...

I do recall something about this, that Yahoo! sometimes holds things back because they actually DO look into some of these things. More than likely, they are reviewing it because of the unhelpful marks. I was going to do a comment like Sandy did, but realized my yahoo username has flowers in it. I was afraid THAT would be unhelpful.

I too, have references to "flowers" in all my email accounts, and held off making comments for the same reasons!

THE BAD REVIEW IS GONE!!!! It is not in yahoo search.... it is however still in google as a Yahoo review, but I think that will disappear when they Re-index or update, because, looking at all 219 reviews of "sender of flowers" who made the review it is gone there!!! A Happy day Indeed!!! Maybe this "sender of flowers" reads flower chat and realizes that it does not help anyone to make bad reviews!!

I had sent yahoo a query on the validity of that posters reviews and asked that they investigate...They did send my an email saying they would...Hoping that is the catalyst that was needed to rid these jerks from doing this...glad it is gone at any rate...
