How would you design this?

I have a bride who wants to use these bottles/vases for her pew decor. They'll hang on shepard's hooks. Wedding decor is sunflowers, hydrangea, dahlias, zinnea, spray roses, etc. The problem... the opening is only 1 1/4" (8" height), which eliminates using hydrangea or sunflowers because of the stem width.

Should I use a gala holder to arrange the flowers? Or just go more simple with plumosa, montecasino, poms, and daisies (flowers that will fit in the opening)? I was hoping to keep the cost to about $25 each (not including glass). The bride is really easy going, so I'm open to being creative.

With the budget yo have in mind, I would go more simple.

I would use the flowers suggested above and try to get a lot of "draping" out of the bottle with long stems of plumosa or springerii so it looks bigger. How about some ribbons hanging down for some added color and texture? The ribbons would also extend the length of the overall arrangement (which may otherwise look kind of puny in that little bottle hanging from shepherds hooks in a big church)

I agree. Looking at the bottle, I was actually thinking plumosum and raffia for trailing, and maybe some as well at the top of the shepherd's hook.

Thanks everyone! I was having a bit of brain drain... I spent the yesterday writing up orders and recipes for 6 upcoming weddings and couldn't think about one. more. arrangement. !

I {think} I've decided on lots of plumosa, one hydrangea bloom, a couple black-eyed susans, daisies, and viking poms. Oh, and waxflower to give it some volume. I'd love to get some haning amaranthus in there, but just don't think it will fit!

We get some nice mini sunflowers from Florida--very tiny stem, size of mini gerbera!!
