For those in the Hurricane areas, which seems to spread each year, was listening to the weather forcaster tonight, the one who has kept us sane for so many 'canes including Andrew through Wilma...reminded everyone listening that Ipods, etc do not allow the family to listen to the radio, when everything else has gone down..each of us needs to get a transistor radio...most of you young ones might not know what that is...check with your grandparents...lol, but beef up your supply!

Lee Valley (a Canadian gardening/hardware company) sells a transistor radio that has a rechargeable battery that has a hand-crank. We use it for emergencies - it proved invaluable during the blackout.

"Wind it up..." :)

Hey if you "wind it up" properly and regularly you get Gwen, Bare Naked Ladies, The Killers, Snow Patrol... and sooooo much more. Of course you can also find Lawrence Welk... now that WOULD blow!!! ;)

Actually I meant like either Gwen Stefanie's song or Bare Naked Ladies... "Wind it up" :)

Love both those songs!
