I am sooo happy right now.

Our nightmare is coming to an end!!!

I spoke with Countrywide/BofA right now. We were conditionally approved for a loan modification which means they will tack on the late payments to the end of the contract therefore bringing us current. All we need to do is provide documentation to support and prove our hardship. We need to prove to them we were forced to move back to Illinois and live apart due to our nightmare tenants! We need to provide bank statements and a hardship letter. I will write one as well as have Sam's Commanding Officer write one. Today is a good day and I want to just ball up and weep for a good hour.....

I hope it all works out for you aileen....sounds like a good deal...at least get you current...will you be lowering your mortgage also??

I am having my Mom, look into that stuff for her house...My brother and I pay the mortgage, but she is now a widow and with biz the way it is and all the extra stuff I took on with the house when my dad died, things are getting way tight and a little relief would help us out...

I'll pray for you, if you say a little prayer for me...

Thanks Lori! Well the payment will go up by just $20. What's important to me is being current. I know with hubby's income alone we can afford all that we have right now. It was the catching up that was killing us. We had to watch every dollar going in and out. At least now, we can breathe and start attacking the credit debt we incurred due to our nightmare. Of course I will pray for you! You should check out Dave Ramsey...it does help!
