I just got off the phone with who used to be the back room manager at a flower studio I worked at in DC and found out that not only is she not the manager anymore but that I've lost all my future dates with them b/c they are not doing freelancers anymore. Glad I called to say hi otherwise I would have been pretty surprized to show up and be turned away. That leaves one lonely business down there that still calls me down and even they're not bringing me in that much anymore. sigh. I hate the economy.

That's 3.2 Trillion plus the interest, our Grandchildren are going to have to pay back to China for floating the BHO loans.

Come on bloomz, one man in 8 yrs cannot do all this damage done. Someone needs to accumulate all the letters sent to every financial institution by the feds since 1977 which warned them they HAD TO lend money to deadbeats. That would be some very interesting reading, I'd say.
....very interesting is bob rubins part in the scam. Check out his tenure at citibank and the development of mbo's and cdo's and all the derivatives and trying to spread the known risk of FORCED LENDING to those who the bankers/wall st knew would not be able to pay even though the feds FORCED the action.
Politics are so emotional people get lost in the rhetoric.

wow, that was a weird turn of events, wasn't it? lol. I was picking on an inanimate situation and it got all ugly. Would everyone feel better if I said I hate Bernie Madoff? We can all be together on that one, right? Actually, he's probably more directly responsible for me losing work down in DC b/c I hear alot of our clients lost money through him. All in all, it's just no good right now. Thanks for the Pity Party. I needed it.
Tsk! Just keeps gettin' better today. Got a call from the eye doctors today asking me to pick up my husband who almosted fainted at the office. Turns out he has a retinal tear and partially detached retina in both eyes and is up for surgery first thing tomorrow. What a day.

Some times we never know the reason things turn out the way they do. Keep the faith that there is a reason for it all. If you had been in DC you would not have been there for your hubby. Maybe this is one of those roadsigns we are all supposed to be looking for! Hope all is well with your situation soon. Feel sorry today for yourself, but tomorrow it's up and at em again! Good Luck!

My husband has been out of work for 2 years, he was a longhaul truck drive and made great money, but with the economy the way it is he is now temporaly work for 2 months for a film making company in Atlanta, making 4,000.00 per week. What a great blessing we have had.
Thanks for the encouragement. I'm usually not one to wallow in sadness but this week has been kickin my butt. I still have one vendor left in DC and she swears she will always bring me in which is so nice. I guess we'll have to see where the storm takes us.

It's sad and scary that anyone offering work now is swamped by 100's .We have a shocking situation here in Ireland ( very long story shared by many countries unfortunately ) and a bar job clearing glasses got 300 applications last week .
