Tomorrow I have a consultation - healthy budget - girls are wearing 'pool' (it's my first) and the bride's favorite color is blue-ish green. She is open to any suggestions. Because of our location, hydrangea will definately be used.
My life is blue weddings and I just can't do another blue wedding so I need suggestions. :hammer:You all have worked with this 'pool' over and over. What are some great color combos that would keep me inspired and wow the bride?
Thanks in advance.

Scroll down and check out the color tool that TGDrangonfly just posted. Select pool and play around.

My suggestions:

Pool, magenta (my current fav)
Pool, purple, orange
Pool, yellow, white
Pool, orange
Pool, green, magenta
Pool, pure white
Pool, lime green, orange, yellow, magenta
Pool, bright coral

Stay away from pastels

Pool + white and lime green and a touch of yellow?

You did not say what time of year it is , that would make a difference in what I would suggest. One of my favorites is shades of brown, include things like brown berries, go for texture.

I can see why the red would be a hard sell, as most would think of red white and blue and that would turn them off.

Shades of yellow always look great with blues as does pinks and peaches.

Have fun,

Joan

Ooo, Ooo! Our cake friend and our photographer friend worked on a wedding with this palette! It got picked up by Southern Wedding Magazine and it is gorgeous. Here's a link to the wedding-

And I am posting a picture of the cake Carrie did. Her cakes are all this amazing.

Thanks, I love that. I think a pop of bright red is really retro and cool. I used to hate blues but I am falling in love with robin egg blue. I somehow combined that combo on my personal page. I love the wedding shown in your link.

It might be hard to sell at a cape wedding, but that depends on how excited the presenter is about the look. I would definitely create a few color boards.
