On vacation so no cable in the camper. Using the antenna on our new HD television we bought soley for the camper due to the change. Have an old tv in the bedroom of the camper now on a converter. The new TV gets 3 stations (last year before the conversion, we had 10 or more all on the camper antenna) and we have to move the antenna to get one channel at a time. The signal waves in and out causing stoppages, no signal messages...delays... pain in the a$$. The old tv on the converter gets all three major network stations with some delays and stoppages but mostly lag free. Don't have to move the antenna and get 8 stations.
If you don't have cable in the woods, you don't get much for TV...sheesh. At least I can connect to brother in laws wireless router most of the time, so I have the laptop.
Oh well, back to vaca.........and I do need the TV for at least weather forecasts (like severe thunderstorm warnings..)
Rant over.............:hammer:

Jeez Rhonda... does not sound like much of a vacation to me... TV, lap top, wireless router...:dunno:

actually I was going to work on my website but Jim hasn't uploaded the pictures last time I looked... LOL

We just returned from Bridgton, ME and we heard many complaints about the HDTV converter boxes in that area...reception is reported to be spotty and irregular.
You have a different landscape in that part of the world...farther down the seaboard the service is much better!

actually the property I'm on is just about 30 miles from Bridgton as the crow flies. Bridgton is in the mountains, I'm on the seacoast 5 minutes from Route 1 but amid 40-60ft pine trees!! Right now with the heavy cloud cover is the best reception in 4 days. Raining like crazy (again)... Glad I have cable at home (way up the state (almost 4 hrs) in real mountainous region!
