I Made a New Flower Chat Friend today

Thanks to Flower Chat, I made a wonderful new friend today. Missy from Gammage Flowers in London Ontario contacted me to see if we could meet for lunch while she was in Dallas this week.

I have just experienced one of the most delightful lunches ever. Missy is a true professional, has a brilliant personality, and such a fun lady. I have made several lifelong friends through Flower chat and I think this is one that I will cherish for years.

Missy has a great mind for our business and we should pick her brain more than we do....cause she gets it.

I hope she will start posting more and that we will really listen to what she has to say. A very intelligent, charming lady.

I would be very careful how you choose your friends!

That's such a nice note to read - it's great to see people getting together for a good chat!

Yeah, Luc, I'm afraid it is the Missy you know. She did tell me how nice you were ( I guess that was still the wine talking).

Since we are both married, I guess we will have to settle for an affair on Flower chat.
 
Missy truly is a gem. I had the pleasure of being the installer/trainer when Flowers By Martha bought Daisy in '04, and we had a riot that week :)

After Gammage bought Flowers by Martha I got to work with Missy again on their website. She's sharp, fun and knows how to manage a business!

And as Carol has mentioned, she's great company for a meal!

Well, you certainly know how to make a girl blush. Thank you for your kind words Carol, meeting you today was just wonderful. I think it is just great that someone I met on this board is willing to take a day and spend it with me! The opportunity to meet with someone in this industry that has the experience and knowledge Carol has is what this forum should be all about. We sat and shared stories and ideas about the present state of things, about the way things were, and how we think they need to change to move us forward, and had more than a few laughs while we did it.
