Hello,

I am applying to AIFD for my CFD. As Part of that application, I must get two letters of recommendation from industry peers, these peers just need to be industry related and don't have to be AIFD although that would be fine also. I have my application ready and the check filled out and would love to send it out this week. I know it is Easter and everyone is busy, but I would really like to get this out and get my book so I can start studying for the written exam...Thanks to anyone up to my challenge, I will be forever grateful...and will hopefully return the favor one day..

OK, I am bumping this thread...I am still in need of these two letters. So if anyons has any time maybe Monday, I would greatly appreciate it...I am supposed to get one from someone I know here...Carloe will do one in 3 weeks when she is back from Spain if noone else steps up, but I really want to get my app sent in so I can get my book and study for the April 15th deadline for the written exam...so please help a girl out...I know this came at a really bad time, but Monday is good...Thanks..

Lori - PM me with some info.......name, years in industry, so on and so forth...........and consider a letter written and I'll send it to you via e-mail as soon as I get it typed up for you.

Would a Maine Master Floral Designer credit do you any good?????????? (considering the chair of Symposium was my instructor?)

Did you get my letter in your FlowerChat e-mail Lori...........Hope it is what you were looking for.

Ricky, thank you, I did get it and it went out in the mail this morning. I appreciate it..

Thanks for all the responses, I ended up getting a bunch of letters Sunday night in email and had plenty as of Monday morning to send my application...as soon as they get my app an process, I will be CFD certified and will get my book to do me PFDE qualification...I need to get an 80% to pass this evaluation and then I will be invited to test for AIFD in Boston at symposium...

I have a question for all of you..Do any of you think it is tacky if I went around to local businesses that I have helped out with various charities and asked for sponsorship to test?

I have given so much to everyone in town in the last 4 years and this test is costing 1700.00 that I just feel that these businesses kind of owe me something for helping them out every year with their charities..

I also need to know if I do this, do I need to set up a separate bank account for this and keep track of it for tax purposes?

I will have to talk with a friend of mine......He did something like that Lori when he first began the Steps toward AIFD with his shop.
