OK I fixed the title, no I'm not drunk!

Anybody know of a groovy little spot on the beach or along the PCH.

Or a website where I can find one?

OR any recommendation in Anaheim?

Anaheim......Shannon.....Just call Cathy - I know they know anaheim real well. DIsneyland hotel lobby is done by Phil and students almost weekly.

I'm back in town 'til Symposium. :)

Don't know of any cute boutique-type places. Anaheim is full of hotels, as is the entire length of PCH (Pacific Coast Highway). Summertime is beach time so the inns and hotels along the coast fill up fast.

We're about 35 miles from downtown LA and the drive can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the time of day. Worst drive times are weekday mornings from 5 am to 9:30 am and weekday evenings from 2:30 pm to 7 pm or so.

I'll work up some suggestions. :)

I really like to be on the PCH. but Any nice hotel would be nice. The end of the month.
I just read a lot of bad reviews and now I'm kinda chicken to make my own decision.

It's probably better described by someone who lives there, but it was by far my favourite spot. It is a bike/walking path that runs up and down Hermosa Beach . Its lined with just glorious homes to walk by and the cutest boutique hotel on the beach that gets top ratings called Beach House at Hermosa Beach. It has a great website. Also on the same path is a very famous restaurant that is a must stop for breakfast. The name escapes me but I will look it up for you, it's always listed in the travel guides.

I love to travel and am a huge fan of trip advisor. We just returned from San Francisco and I based my whole vacation off reviews from there.
Most of my business is doing wedding flowers at Orange County hotels and I have my favorites:

Surf and Sand - like Ted said it is expensive but Laguna Beach is a wonderful quaint little town where you can walk to everything.

Hyatt Huntington Beach - Love this hotel. It is a big hotel and the beach is right across PCH. There probably isn't a lot of night life in this area though.

Balboa Inn- Good location in Newport Beach. A few blocks from the water.

Newport is where the locals go to the beach and so is the beach across from the Hyatt in Huntington. Laguna is a little more touristy but great. I would check trip advisor for more Laguna Beach hotels. Many of the hotels in Laguna are independently owned and a lot over look the water.
I am a huge lurker on here and sort of feel like I know you. My guess is that Laguna would be the right choice for you.

Hey there, try hotels.com, for Laguana Beach, or Huntington Beach, or even Anaheim. They give yo choices and some ppics and descriptions.
At least it is a start on price and looks for the money!
Priceline is another option though you never get the name or the place until you press hte book key...Good Luck
