I would say for over a month now, I have been thinking of going solo and completely drop my wire service and go direct.

In 2 months, after dec statement I will have paid off my Daisy system with TF. Took me 5 years to do it but I feel at times that I was taking advantage in some way. I notice this at the begining when I phone for supports, the customer service rep thought I had the linux version of this. I always had the other version.(memory loss at the moment) Anyway every month I always paid my system and a charge for Dove and Diasy POS Maintenace. THe Dove and maintenance is over $225.00 a month.

I am looking at the maintenance aspect of this contract. $165.00/monthx60
$9,900.00. THat is no chump change.
What did I get in return? Some customer service on problems with the system, maybe a few times a year. It has been good to me.

A few years ago, there was to be a new release and upgrade to my system and I have not seen anything. I did have solicitations to upgrade tothe linux but I figure that I paid for any type of upgrade with my maintenace contract.
In fact I have been told since day one that we would see a change in daisy.
I think I read somewhere it has been release a few year back but have not heart if it was officially done in canada. Maybe other members may confirm this with me.

So I am not exactly sure what is happening to me, but I am really thinking of leaving TF and going solo.

WHat will I be gaining if I do?
1, membership money
2. Dove System fee
3. Maintenace fee
4. Quality assurance fee
5. Directory Fee
6. Transmission Fee
7. 27% on orders
8. A POS System
9. I have a source for my credit card and would drop all of that with tf.

in $ from #1-6 that is about $365.00 a month a year $4,400.00

Order sent in 1 years is about 608 orders = $36101.19 not counting service fee. Now if I take 20% of the orders going out $7,220.00 and pass on the rest with out requesting any discount, I still make what I would get from the wire service. I would gain the 7% marketing fee which willbe passed on to the florist.

Receive in one year 370- $21,166.61

I am not sure why I have been thinking so much lately of opting out of TF.
I needed to write it down for now and get the feeeling out of my head and seriously think about this at a later date. I need to do it before Dec. 1 the famous deadline.

My head is spinning, my urges are ready to control my mind.....

Iknow I am freaking a few suppliers also by keeping my account to date and paying other off and getting back on track and taking control. I think it scares a few that I am saying, you want to play in my sand box, its by my rules now....I won't have no problem to say, sorry I am moving on!!!!!!!!!!

I think I am Mikey the flower Guy possessed!!!!!

Love you Mikey!!!!!!

Luc, do yourself a favor and look into IFA. It might be the right thing for you to consider if you are going to be WS Free.

Call me if you wish. Tom Carlson 608-755-7700

IFA don't work here in Canada...BUT...there ARE "options".....

Yes. Mostly Quebec members but I've known Guy since he was FTD rep early 90's (and got fired for disagreeing with the "Merger" in 94) and joined after dumping FTD; funny I've only gotten 2 incoming orders in 2 years :)
