Freaking people, some don't have enough to do that they must gossip or start stories. Seems someone called our mall manager today and inform them that a number of stores will be closing early on friday becasue another store that is about to close thier doors has been closing early themselves. Seems I was on the list and seem by the person who made the call I would be closing my doors altogether. Well the mall manager came and paid me a visit. When she told me this I could only find it to be so freaking stupid someone one would do such a thing. Just sign a five year deal with the mall and did $10,000 for of renovations and I would just close like that. Some just dont have brains. Like I said to her, when I have a issue with them, I go directly to the source. Only way to go. As for my second frustrating items is those people who spends hours and hours in the mall just walking around. Freak my mall is so small 15 minutes and you have it all done. I don't know why there peole do that. I am wondering what will happen if they where to close the whole mall. It looks stupid of me to complain but seeing the same people all the time is getting to me. I really mean it when I say hours. I even have one that opens the mall and closes it and spends all day walking into store and the mall. I feel like to go up to them and say to get a life. I would rather watch t.v. at home and watch tiles.
Is our mall the only one that have mall rats of have you notice the same in your mall if your in one?
Mall rats..how do yout rid of them?

Hi Luc:

I understand your frustration with stupid people and mindless gossip. Understand the source as best you can...and ignore as much as possible and vent to your friends when needed. :)

Worked in a larger mall than yours in Sarnia for a number of years and yes, we too had "mall rats". I got to know some of them because they'd stop to chat...basically, in my experience, they were lonely with no where else to go. Many used it as a meeting place, seniors especially, Moms with small children, needed a break from their routine at home. Some were just plain annoying and needed to get a life I guess. Our security took care of the "trouble waiting to happen" people...some were banned and their mug shots were posted around the stores.

Personally I don't understand the attraction of malls...I could hardly wait to leave when I was done work...needed fresh air and daylight! (I'm not Vampira). I still prefer smaller shops downtown whenever possible.

Take heart...some of them will spend money.

:)

Victoria, I know what you mean about some coming in to get out of the house. But in this mall there is some that are so negative that they bring the morale down. It gets tired to see the same same same same old one doing nothing but walk, talk, and have coffee at tims instead ofgetting something else.
I must be having pre-birthday blues....
I don't feel well either, so that may not help either....

The Blahs

Could be that cold that's going around - it's sure left a swath through my family and friends.

*hugs* Don't let the mall rats get you down, Luc. You've got a great looking store, you've got a good holiday season in front of you and I'm sure it'll be a prosperous one.
