We were holding our own for the last several weeks. Was ahead of the game then had several funerals last week and we were still ok.
But MOnday and Tues WHam Bang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found out the other florist is not receiving orders since I am getting request to fill orders from Wesley Berry, FTD, Flowers by Sears which I sent them packing with A HO HO HO!

Then one cusotmer told me she is out of flowers as of yesterday which would explain why the WHAM BANG!

Now I am getting dangerously low, can't get no flowers till at least Sat afternoon. May have a Memorial on Sat AM which I may not be able to offer them much in product.

Still have many orders to do for today.
Been working 14+hours a day for the last week in 1/2 and on 25 days straight without a day off... I am starting to look like a zombie!

Also I have been doing lots of fruit and goodie basket, it's crazy, many of them $75.00 to $100.00.

Aside from that. I LOVE IT!

OK Taking aleve and back to work....

Way to go Luc. :)

This has been a funny year for me as well. Yesterday I was hit with large last minute orders from all over the place. I had already sent my temporary staff home for the holidays so it was a long day. It's fine with me...it validates my employment.

Was told a nice thing yesterday... my department has shown steady growth all year. :)

Merry Christmas to you and Debbie Luc with hugs to you both.

I resemble that remark....

I did finally shave today.. church tonight you know...can't sleep tho...in the store at 5 am....what the heck?

Yes, Aleve and no sleep....just getting us ready for Valentine's Day!

We've been hustling this week also, running dangerously low on flowers. I do not, however, long for the return to the "normal" of the past few weeks. I like running on Aleve and no sleep. Cha-ching! Gotta get enough in that cash register to get us through the slowness of January.

Full Cooler, but out of greens and red carns.
Yea, did it just right.

Who knows what today will bring.
Last year, not so much walkin.
This is my first Christmas in the new location.
Who knows what to expect.

Very happy, all in all, with the holiday.
Less delivieries, less staff, more money. go figure.....(no FTD)

This has been a great week for us too. As we were cleaning up the shop last night...I remarked that it has been a very long time since our flower supply was that low. LOVE IT!

I am really glad everyone did so well, i had to phone in sick for the first time in 4 years. My staff had to look after things, from what i can gather we had no flowers left by lunchtime today which suits me fine as that is when i aim to shut usually. I like everyone to be home with families by 2pm. I have been told all was well so I am a happy bunny.

Anyway, we'll all enjoy christmas and i wonder when the first valentines thread will start:spintongu

:) I am now home, eyeing that bottle of wine sitting under the tree. I'll wait.

I'm really pleased with how it went this year. My stress level escalated after the economy tanked because of course all the product I ordered was when the economy was still in reasonably fine fettle.

I have very little left to carry over to next year and that makes me smile.

I am very tired... this is day eight in a stretch and my pedometre just hit 50k.

I'm looking forward to a quiet night at home and lucky me, I have the next 10 days off. :)

Enjoy it all folks. Take good care of eachother.

Walk-in cooler is empty. Reach-in cooler has a few bouquets for Fri. All specials sold out. Raided my home and found half-dozen Kinkades from past years that Sardha had kept as keepsakes. OUT THEY WENT! Drivers out until 6:30 Mon and Tue. Walk in was light. Found out why we had so many deliveries in the Southside. #1 florist there closed their doors. Many more orders from TFHQ than we generated locally. Nada from FTD.

Merry Christmas all! Turkey's in the oven. Back to bed soon.
