Ah yes, when I arrived at work with my hat, someone pointed out that it wasn't Christmas... un huh, tell that to the dam n weather person. Hunting should be easier this Easter, we'll be able to track the silly rabbit. ;)

It should be noted, this is NOT the norm for my part of the world.

I was just given a free ride on the guilt trip bus. A robin shot me a look through my window, like all this was my fault... fine I'll start knitting little birdie sweaters and touques today.

Now I am laughing too.
It is cold in Alabama.
This has got to be the coldest Easter I have ever experienced.
Gonna look funny going to church in a bright sleeveless dress and a coat!!!

Snow on my azaleas

Snow in East Texas for the last hour today. Nothing compared to up north, but something VERY odd to say the least. I haven't even seen snow like this here for years, but on Easter weekend in April?????

Yep, scrambling for a coat for my daughters Easter dress and replacements for the sandals. Yikes - the sunrise service tomorrow is gonna be BRRRRR!

Last night it got down to 21 degrees in St. Louis, MO. My 79 yr old husband has been trying to save his babies(two peach trees) by getting up in the middle of the night and misting with water. There is now about an inch of ice on the trees and they look like s**t. The ice did not melt yesterday as it only got up to 36 degrees. These trees are on a steep hill enclosed in a (specially made by him) cage of chicken wire and 1 by 2's. Between the hill and the cage it towers around twenty feet at the top. Around 10PM Thursday night he tells me he is going to change the nozzle at the top of the cage on top of the hill, I said absolutely not! you got to love them, these stubborn old men!

Cold as h3!! down here!
Woke up to this this morning!!!
I am going back into hybernation!!!

I decided to open today from 10-3. I went outside to change some letters on our sign before unlocking the security gate and door and I found a light snow covering the ground and large patches of ice. Was quite surprised to have to salt the parking lot on Easter.

P.S. I wonder how many of the Christmas & Easter churchgoers didn't make it this Easter due to being too cold? Sarcasm intended!

I've just trudged out to feed the birds and squirrels (I'm dog sitting at a house this weekend), and man it's cold. Apparently we can look forward to this until at least Tuesday. Whatever.

The birds are happy, the squirrels are ectatic and the dogs... well, big brave boys and girls that they are, don't want to get their big greyhound and dobie feet wet. Three big woosies.
