Mlou or CHR, maybe you can help me...
A long time ago when I set up my cart I discovered that I installed it to a /cart directory under my www dir on my server. Since /cart/index.php contained my "landing" page, I used Cpanel to create a "temporary redirect" (a 307) from www.usflowerhaus.com to www.usflowerhaus.com/cart, which allowed my cart's index.php to become the home page.
A week ago, after reading some about 301 (perminent) vs. 307 redirect, I changed the temp to perm. in cpanel, and guess what? Google axed me. I went from having 70+ backlinks to having 2.
Bummer! I still rank pretty high (2nd in google local for melbourne fl florist, 5th organic), but is there any way to get my backlinks back?
advTHANKSance,
