I mentioned the other day that i was telephoned by a tv producer to supply some flowers and i would get a mention.

Well I have just had a phonecall from the designer who wants me to do several designs, she mentioned that she would give me a plug on tv, i asked what she was allowed and she said that she would like to film me handing over the flowers.

I cant breath lol I have been on tv before and that was ok but that was just doing hawaiin leis with mother of the bride. This time i have to do some drop dead gorgeous oriental designs. I need help!!! Colours are red black and cream.

If anyone has any pictures i would really appreciate them, it is on Thursday so i really dont have any time.. Dont have time to lose weight either and the tv puts on 10 pounds lol

Thanks so much in advance!!

I don't think you need to lose weight, just don't trip LOL.I'm seeing black vases and black shallow bowls, red anthuriums, red ginger, ivory anastasia blooms, bamboo, black tie cordaline, aralia leaves, black pebbles. Less if more. Simple and elegant.

Ha Ha thanks Twiggy, tv personality i am not lol

I wont forget to take pics, i just hope they turn out nice. I can see i am going to lose a little bit of sleep this week.:)

i would caution you in accepting this offer only because i worked at a flower shop that was asked to do this several times a year. she spent a fortune on flowers and supplies let alone the time. while i worked there only part time and don't have access to the figures (if there were any kept at all) i do not believe there was a very good return on the investment.

make sure you have your website or name and phone number available, perhaps even printed largely on a sheet in front of each of your designs somehow.

Thanks for the caution Sharon, i mentioned in another thread that i was involved in another tv show a couple of years ago. I got lots of press from it and did actually get quite a large return from it. In fact, i still get asked about it now.

I think it depends on marketing skills and making the most of an opportunity. I am certainly not going into this green and i love the marketing aspect of the job.

I like to be the one who takes the challenge and makes something on it and i am quite lucky that my local newspaper loves stories like this.

Thanks for the caution though, it's much appreciated.

:flower: i wish you all the best with this and would love to know what you're doing for the marketing end of it. if you can post, i'm always searching for ideas. thanks bunches.

Just thought i would give you an update. I went on Thursday to deliver the flowers and the designer, Catherine Rayward, asked me to stay and be filmed. I hung around for a few hours and it really was an experience, they did some filming of the designer asking some questions about the flowers that i had chose. I know i will not come accross that well as i am awful at this type of thing but i so hope they show it, next job is to get an editorial over to the paper. Anyway here are the pics and pls note i covered the pot tape after i took the pics:eek:!! If anyone can doctor them and take it off i would love it:thumbsup
