If we had a flower chat conference..how many would come to Toronto or other location?

If a whole bunch of us organized a flower chat conference on a weekend. how many would travel or come to it?

Let's say Friday night greetings
Sat morning Design Show
Sat Lunch
Sat afternoon Design show or speaker or Web seminars (just ideas)
Sat evening gala
Sunday Morning Design show
Sunday brunch
Adios early afternoon.

Second question how many people are willing to help get this together????

Yes I would love to, and also let me know and I can get some great deals for airlines, hotel and such, that is what I do all day long besides the flowers as well,,, If that will help to get folks there...Count the Queen in, I need a day off...

I would love to go to everything floral related...

I just for the first time in two years was able to go to a floral related conference....It was hell trying to get the time. I finally figured that out and got hotel and weekend booked, got there for a class friday night and had to get in the car and head home at 6am sat morning for family emergency....lost out on all the expenses...All in all it was not worth the scheduling conflicts and the money lost really made me mad...especially where the family emergency did not pan out too well either...now I am a bit gun shy as to do it again...

Was going to go to Maine last weekend just for sunday and got a last minute party to deliver and couldn't find anyone to take it for me...aaahhh the life of a one armed paper hanger...gotta love it..

All in all I would love to go if it was feasible money wise, time wise and travel wise...

Our two girls from Massachusetts graduated with their Maine Master Floral Designer's certification........Marcia Kettle from The Flower Cottage and Mary Wynne from Roseland Florist & Nursery.... They are both a bunch of fun!!

Hi All,
The word, courtsey of my husband Tom, the world traveler, is that if you are FLYING, you do indeed need a passport.

If you are DRIVING, at least for a short while, you can still go & come back with just a birth certificate or other proof of citizenship. (No, your library card or AIFD card or Macey's shopping card will not work -- been tried, no.).

Tom said to expect FULL implementation of the Passport rule before the end of 2008. It will just depend upon how fast the passport people can get some really huge log jam of paperwork cleared up -- apparently, it is getting better.

Oh, and for an extra fee, they will take your money & process it faster!

Oh, I will have to send them a congrats. I am on the TF Board with both of them. They rae the pres and vice pres....That is awsome. Did they also compete???

September may be promising...Keep me on the mailing list...I will get there...I would love to try and get the master florist also..
