I've been tracking this some time now!!...you MAY think differently, BUT, check your import roses and carnations for numbers in a bunch!!
Do this for a while, and be vigilant, BECAUSE, shippers/packers are purposely shortchanging the bunches by 1-3 stems to increase their margins, claiming to send you 25 stems in a bunch!!
We are at a point now, where we randomly count import bunches, and accounting for possible broken heads, more than 75% of the time, import bunches are coming in at LESS THAN 25 per bunch...you are BEING CHARGED for 25...make sure you get what you pay for.....

they did this with leatherleaf a few years ago.. and when caught they said they were changing the count to 20 stems..

Everyone is trying to increase their margins.. and we seem to be stuck at the bottom of the heap

Check your locals as well ... it happens everywhere
