Many of us have been shocked to learn of the passing this morning Jim Lynch, AIFD. His login here at FC was designingcowboy.
Jim's website gives a bit of the flavor of this bright, effusive, well-loved guy. He was a leader and a doer, working tireless to organize FTD district, LA Flower Market and San Fernando Valley florist events over the years.
An Eagle Scout, for years he captained an annual retreat to the Sequoias where a number of us florists harvested fresh Christmas greens (with proper permit 'cuz that's the way he was. ) and enjoyed fellowship (and bad Karaoke) with each other. I'll never forget performing "I Got You, Babe" with him - only he wanted to sing Cher's part.
Jim was on the Smithers-Oasis national design team so many of you may have seen his programs at wholesale houses or state conventions.
The industry has lost a true talent and gentleman - who was taken from us far too young.
Service information is pending.
