Just had a call from a TF shop above me about 1/2 hour away..
Yesterday she had a call from a shop in CT regarding a possible TF order. Because she had customers backed up (and this shop/town is smaller than mine) she asked if they could call her back or give her their 800 number to call them back. The caller "rattled off" a phone number, not 800, and when asked if they had an 800 # was told no. They were told to please call back in 15 minutes so she could take the order after her customers were gone. She does work alone.
The shop didn't call back but FTD Headquarters called a couple of hours later with an order. Mixed vase arrangement total $45.00. (She asked the operator if the order came from a shop in CT and it was confirmed that it did - and she takes FTD orders by CC only.)
This morning she arrives at work and her employee has taken a TF order for an FTD design delivered to the same person, same card for a total of $60.00.
Now she's wondering if she should call the shop and have a little discussion as to who ate the extra $15.00 that FTD Hdqtrs sent.
She is signed up for our Business Workshop next weekend at our Fall Show and is going to bring copies of both orders with her. Should be interesting to see what the WS reps have to say and interesting to hear how much that shop sent that order for that was funneled through HQ.
