Zoe, I have just noticed the flyers at my wholesaler from direct 2 florist. Can you give me some info about its function in the flower industry. Maybe some of the benefits to florists...

hi lori

basically the website allows you to upload a pic of your shop and your own products and also allows you to enter your own prices and delivery areas.

when the orders come through you recieve them at 100 percent value no commissions taken out because they pay a service fee on top of the flower value

f2f is a relay service we have in the uk

D2f is the website which i outlined earlier in the post.

Direct2florist puts you, the consumer in direct contact with the real local florist and allows you to order direct from them. Search to choose your florist and order direct - no middlemen, no hidden charges, no boxed deliveries. Just beautiful fresh flowers hand delivered by real American and Canadian florists. Go direct2florist and receive first class service.

Direct2florist guarantees your flowers will be delivered by a real local florist on this site. Direct2florist guarantees that the money charged for your flowers will be paid in full to the real local florist of your choice.

this is what is on the website hope it helps

any questions just ask

Ah Zoe!

I've actually worked with you in trying to get flowers to a funeral last year. You were tremendously helpful and I so appreciated all your efforts. :)

The service charge you mention. how does that work and how do the florists get the orders at 100%. Do you send a check??

I remeber victoria

you wanted flowers to somewhere just outside london?

glad to be of assistance

Yes, and we managed to get them delivered on a Sunday. I was so impressed with the level and care and service received from so far away. :)

here in the uk the money gets paid directly into the florist bank account and in america and canada you get paid by card but this will be changing shortly so it will go straight into your bank account

Are you paid by the florist or the customer?

If you are paid by the customer, who gets the sender's information??

How much is the charge for the relay of the order or is it a percentage based issue?

the site d2f is a conduit between customer and florist.
here's how it works on payment.

customer pays on line.
they pay for the flowers + d2f service fee
D2f receive these funds.

florists immediately receive order via email notification and pop-up on screen (fax / phone if all else fails!)
florist receives flower money in full (no % deductions)
florist is paid by BACS payment if florist is in UK. This payment system is currently being implemented for usa & canada.

the best bit is the florist sets their own price!
and they get that in full

hope this helps
