I have in the floral industry for 30 years. The first 11 with a large retailer in the Chicago area. The last 19 have been in Phoenix at Phoenix Flower Shops.

Our operation consists of 10 retail stores as well as a wholesale division. You can visit our website at www.phoenixflowershops.com

I have been active in various local and state floral organizations and focus groups for many years exchanging ideas with other florists.

Hi! I believe I read an article discussing the changes in your logo. Welcome. I believe you will be a great asset to FC.

Welcome!
What is your position at the florist?
:)

Welcome to the Flowerchat Community. Enjoy and share at will.

Actually, an astute and keen eyed member (Iris Eyes) pointed out this applicant joined in April of '05. :)

So, welcome back and hopefully you'll join in the fray.

Amlings Flowerland. Worked in retail stores for the first few years as an hourly associate and entered the management program while still in college. Once I graduated I transferred to corporate office and held several positions. I was involved in marketing, franchising, purchasing, and other areas. When I left, I was the Director of Human Resources.

Hey Ken -

Welcome back to FC.

I am so sorry to hear of Elmer's passing last week and we send our sincerest sympathies to the entire Phoenix Flowers family.

Cathy
Thanks for note.

For those who do not know, the founder of our company, Elmer Schienbein, passed away last week. His services are scheduled for this Friday. To see more info about Elmer and his accomplishments visit our website at www.phoenixflowershops.com and click on his photo. There is a guest book available for anyone who wants to share a memory about Elmer or simply express their condolences.

Ken, it is great to see you here. With all your knowledge of our industry, you will really add a lot of perspective.

Keith called us a few minutes ago and gave us the news about Elmer. He will certainly be missed. Thanks for letting us know.
