After working with florists and distributors for the best part of 10 years... and learning about the staffing challenges that face the floriculture industry, I wanted to develop a reliable source for finding staff in todays market.

It is my pleasure to offer www.bloomingjobs.com as as an employment resource to both jobseekers and employers.

I look forward to being a part of this community, and continuously working for a strong floral market.

Hi Debbie. Welcome

I need a strong designer, minimal baggage, reasonable pay. I need her Monday--and only for one week. Can you help?

LMAO&ROTF and darn near broke a leg !

Thanks Ted, needed that tonight !

Welcome to FC !

I think this could catch on...especially for freelance florists. If freelancers could post photos in their portfolio of their work, it would be an amazing service! As a business owner, I'd love to find a site where I could go and find experienced help or a temporary or perhaps permanent basis by browsing the listings and portfolios.

Just as mentioned above, there is always a need for extra help around the holidays/ events.

Welcome to the community Deborah. What part of Cambridge are you located? That whole area was a stompling ground for me as I grew up in Waterloo. :)

Starting out...

Thank you to all for your positive comments...

If you have visited bloomingjobs.com you can see we're still just starting out... this service is FREE for jobseekers to post their resumes, and, for the time being, is FREE for employers as well!!

Please... feel free to try it out... right now my goal is to promote it to students in floriculture and horitculture programs... any other suggestions would be most welcome...

I'm also developing a site www.myflowerbusiness.com - I'd love to hear your thoughts !!

The site isn't online yet - just let us know when it is, and we'll be happy to offer input.
