Introducing Blue Bouquet

Hello Fellow FlowerChat members,
My name is Neil Carr and I'm with Blue Bouquet in Kansas City. I'm new here. I helped launch Blue Bouquet in January of 07, focusing strictly on events and weddings. So, we're very much babies compared to many of you, and we have much to learn.

Recently I stumbled upon this forum and felt it is potentially a great source of information. In fact, I have a few questions already. Namely, we are currently considering relocating to a higher traffic area and introducing a retail aspect to our business. Other than what's available through SAF, do any of you recommend any sources of industry info that might be helpful in refining our business plan?

For help with your business plan, did you mean SBA or SFA? I guess it doesn't matter because both are excellant resources. There is a Canadian website that I found through SBA that was very helpful in writing my business plan. http://www.canadabusiness.ca/ibp/

Also make sure that you check some of the previous threads here. "A hard rain is going to fall" is a good one. I'd link to it, but I can't find it in the search. Hopefully someone else can help. If you are crazy like me (just opened a new studio this month) and still want to expand, there is great knowledge on what to watch out for/ prepare.
