Hi all!

I just signed up. One of your members told me about you.

I've been selling flowers direct from growers all over the world for almost 8 years. Though we're based in Oklahoma City, we ship throughout the country.

We use top quality growers. The fastest growing part of our business is independent floral designers and event planners who are usually treated as second-class citizens by traditional wholesalers.

You can find out more about us at www.MyFlowerBuyer.com. We're in the early stages of putting an online shopping cart together to facilitate ordering. Until then, most people either call us at 877-553-9917 or email at [email protected].

The independent florist is an endangered species today. We are doing our part to help you get quality product at fair prices with good service. With the wire services trying to turn you into modern day share-croppers, we're here to help you survive and thrive!

Look forward to hearing from you.

Teleflora

No, I'm not a member of Teleflora. I compete with them selling flowers. Please note my previous comment that the wire services seem to be intent on making flower shops into sharecroppers. They also compete directly with traditional wholesalers and direct shippers like myself. I view them as enemies of florists, not allies.

welcome.
Our mission is to help the Retail Florist buy the highest quality wholesale cut flowers at a discount price -- hassle free! We also sell to individuals, with a minimum order size of one box.
Does this mean that you wholesale flowers to the general public?

I noticed that stemsandpetals.com forwards to your domain.

Two questions:
1) Care to comment on the fact that your name and business model are very similar to flowerbuyer.com?
2) Wasn't Stems & Petals the wholesale site TF purchased a few years ago to compete with FTD's Fresh Flower Exchange?

I think that's stemsandbunches, but I could be wrong ....

Checked out your prices... maybe its best to support my local wholesaler.. if not
they would go under, times are harder, I couldn't see a savings after shipping cost
where's the savings? Then the locals and their staff have no jobs either.

I sell to some DIY people, but not many. When I get the shopping cart set up, I'll have a two-tier pricing structure, with a trade discount for people with business licenses.

FlowerBuyer.com is an actual flower auction, at least as I understand it.

MyFlowerBuyer is a play on words. We were Stems and Petals for the first 5 years, but decided to make the change because we thought it would market better. We want people to think of us as THEIR flower buyer. Stems and Bunches is the Teleflora direct sales organization to compete with us direct sellers.

We are not the best solution for everybody. Everyone's circumstances are different. Typically I find that the larger florists are buying direct, or have great discounts with local wholesalers. Smaller shops, independent designers and event planners are often treated as second class citizens. They get higher prices, poorer product and poor service. While that is not everyone's experience, I find it a lot. That is why our business in these areas is increasing.

The great equalizer is often shipping costs. FedEx is expensive, whether you give it "free," or for $10, or whatever. It has to be paid, and is included in the price some how. We work with our professionals to minimize shipping costs. Those who are fairly close to a commercial airport can save lots of money on shipping. Southwest Airlines seems to be best in this area.

Sometimes people don't save a lot of money buying from us (after paying shipping), but they find they still get fresher, better product. And that brings increased sales.

Again, we're not for everyone, and don't claim to be. I'm quick to let people know if I don't think we have a fit.

To expensive, I pay way less than that, oh my heavens the shipping is way high,,,,sorry would love to give you the business but if you just have that on your site, and if you have a shop price let me know.

If you're near a commercial airport, let me know. Try me on your next event. I'll quote prices, and you can see what they are. I'm not sure what you're looking at since I have few prices on my web site right now. The prices that are posted in our "Wedding in a Box" are year-round prices with a farm with mixed box capability for a wide range of roses. During off-times, and for quantity, better prices and often be found.

If you're looking for standing orders, I can quote those, too.
