So I finally got a minute to read my e-mail today...

I got an e-mail from a person named Nitaya (I feel stupid cause I don't know who she is)

Anyway she and Hitomi and someone name Lottie have put together a, well I'm not sure what to call it... An education vacation maybe? To Paris. oooooooo...

I so wish I had the money, I'd go. 7 days and hands on workshops.

I wonder how she got my e-mail?? Anyone else get this e-mail?
Anyone else going?

Didn't you take your CRFA Scholarship to the TF ED Center with Hitomi?

She keeps track of her students.

Nitaya is Lottie's daughter in law. She is an incredibly talented designer.
She will rise to the top in future years. She's also a sweetheart.

I would love to go, since I couldn't go to Taos this year.
But, it's so pricey. $1600 for just the 2 day workshop and a few tours.
No airfare, no hotel, no meals.

I'm thinking next year, I'm going to take a Gregor Lersch class in Germany.
Anybody want to go with me????

I would really like to go to one of the schools in Belgium or Holland and complete the Dutch Master ciriculum. I think that would take about 6 weeks. Has anyone out there done this?

Cherrie,

If I had enough notice, I'd go with you. I just need to be able to save some loot.
But I'm down!

And I'm serious. How much money will I need? I can meet you in Denver and we can go from there!!

Oh yeah, and when is it?

And P.s. I used my CRFA scholarship last year and took Susans class, she had told me to call you about the rose parade remember. This year I took Hitomis class and paid for it myself! But I did win another scholarship when I won the New Mexico designer of the year in September. So I get to go again next year!

Shannon,
Nitaya is Nitaya Emmig AIFD and Lottie is Lottie Nys AIFD. Nittaya is a ray of sunshine and an incredible designer. Her work is a little like Hitomi's in that she executes beautiful details.
When you win the lottery will you take me with you to Paris??

Hitomi does a Design Encounter somewhere in the world each year. I have been able to attend two of them over the years. There is nothing like them in the realm of art and design.

Jack Richards and Hitomi even came to my little town in Missouri and led one of them several years go. It was written up in several magazines at the time.

Lottie and her daughter in law are outstanding. The combination of the three of them would be absolutely life changing. Lottie lives in Oklahoma. Maybe you met her there.

If you can get the money together, go.

I would like to go to Paris for this one, but, the last time I was in Paris, the smoking was so bad, I had to leave in two days. I could not escape it anywhere. There were no non smoking areas that I could find in whole city. As some of you know, I have a deadly allergy to nicotine.

Cherri, I am going to Europe next September. Do you know the dates of Gregor's Class? I might be interested.

I have taken a couple of Gregor's classes over the years. He presents a whole different view of floral art.

Actually, I took the first class of his because I did not like his work. It made no sense to me. Since he seemed to have such a following.....I decided to see what he was all about. It took me about 1 day into the seminar to see and now I am a fan. I really can't sell many of his ideas, but, they sure do make me feel good to create some of his techniques.

Spent a week in Paris last January at the gift show and touring flower shops in Paris. It is sooo worth it. It is so interesting to see different styles of flower shops. Off season is a great time to go as well, no tourists. To combine that with some hands on training would be great.

WOW Shannon That's GREAT!! You will get there one day!! cheering for ya!
