Just wondering if anyone here has signed up with a fairly new wire service based out of Oregon called FloralSource.

Early February I decided to sign up with them, I am not a member of FTD or Teleflora but when I saw the ad in Florist' Review magazine for FloralSource, I figured what the hey, go for it.

I phoned them and signed up around the 9th of February. I paid the $150 sign up fee. I was told that I was approved instantly. Great!! I was also told that my new member package was on the way along with a new assigned shop code.

Well, 2 weeks passed and nothing. So I phoned. I was told that they were having computer problems and that everything was going to be sorted out shortly and then my package would be sent UPS.
Ok I figured, this kind of thing happens, understandable.

So, I waited another 2 weeks. Nothing. I phoned again and was told again by the same man that he was sorry again and that the package was on the way for sure now.

More time passes, still no package.

Last update was that he said the package was sent out to me via UPS ground on March 14th. This person will now not take my calls so I have to email. He is not responding to my emails now.
I emailed asking for a tracking number since if it was sent out like they say it was on the 14th, I should for sure have it by now.
We did not hear back from that email so I sent off another one saying please reverse our card and cancell.
Well, he is really not responding now.
Everything this man told me that they were doing, have done and will do for me, NOTHING has happened.
I was supposed to hear back from them to set me up as part of their web site, that has never happened either.

I am just hoping that one day this man will return my calls again and/or email and will just reverse the charges since I was promised product etc and have gotten absolutely nothing.

He said that he would send orders that were called into them for my area to me (and he said that there were a lot a week) and I have never had anything.

What should be my next step since I leave this guy voice mail, he dosent call back. I email he does not call back.

We WERE a Charter Member...

But, for the following reasons at that time, we dumped 'em:
- no electronic order transmission system: was TOLD by the Top that a deal with Mercury was in the works...well, Mr. S. at FTD nixed it...
- got on avg. TWO orders a MONTH...for $49.00 membership fee and directory costs X TWO stores & memberships...no brainer there
- got BURNED by a member (ex-member) who called in a $59.95 order to us AFTER being suspended by FS. Problem is, FS didn't let us know until the NEXT month this member was suspended. Would not take any responsibility for payment of said order.
- Officially dropped FS on Nov. 30th 2004. *STILL* waiting for money owed to us from them. Was told our account had to be inactive for 90 days "just in case any orders you called out have not been reported yet." Oh...ok but...THE PROBLEM IS WE NEVER CALLED ANY ORDERS OUT - not ONE!!!

Oh, still no Check from FS...called them b/f Easter...had gotten "final statement" from them saying a zero balance. Ahhh, no, you owe me some $250+ for the stinkin' 4 orders I filled in SEPT and OCT 2004!!!

Stay AWAY FROM FLORALSOURCE! Do you REALLY need them???
Resign now and get your $150 back!

OH, and you MAS guys...I would THINK TWICE about associating your good name and product with this company...not worth it...

(yes I may be harsh, but when you get burned, and EVERYTHING above is true, I have a right to be harsh... Let them call me and explain themselves.)

Easy there big fella.... did I forget to mention that we....ah nevermind, you know what I was gonna say! Gimme a call....

Call your CC company and have them reverse the charges. By all rules, no charges to your card can be made unless they ship in 48 hours after posting charge.

Thank you everyone for your advice with FloralSource.

I have called the credit card company to have the charge reversed.

I have a few more days to contact the person I was dealing with there (at FloralSource) to have him reverse the card from his end before the credit card company will step in.

An update on my end, I have emailed this man (since my last post) 4 times and have called and left more messages etc and I STILL have not gotten a response. Also, I STILL have not gotten this kit that was supposedly sent out on March 14th. I could have walked down to Oregon and picket it up myself in the time it is taking.

Anyways, just left yet ANOTHER message with FlroalSource and now the receptionist is getting a little rude with me as soon as she askes who is calling.

I think this is fishy.

I am for sure not one to bash any businesses or anything like that, but this is turning out to be a very bad experience and just beware of these people if anyone else here is thinking of joining.

April 1st has come and gone...

...and I am STILL waiting for our final payment from FloralSource.

Now I will call John Carruthers myself to get to the bottom of this. The last person I talked to before Easter said "well, it was mailed at the end of February...wait till the end of March and see if you get it."

A great way to do biz, huh...

FSI is aok in my book

Have been w/ FSI for 2yrs.. Never any problems! Great team of people to work with. Also use FSI for Credit Cards (great rates).. Like with any new company there is always a learning curve. John and his staff are ALWAYS available to answer any question or concerns. Give them a try. We need a company like FSI, they give us a choice away from the Big2.

I second that, they have been great, no wonderful to work with, very concerned, and I had trouble believing (not doubting you, just didn't sound like the FSI I know) that you couldn't get them to return phone calls.

Den is absolutely right, we need them as a choice.

I'm not a member, but like B says...they have been great... at least in sharing information, being willing to look at their programs, and listening to my requests...John has been more than helpful...

Time will tell in my case...

Bloomz & BOSS...

Then, why all the CRAP we have to go through???
You guys are two GOOD pro's at the biz...but I do not share your opinion of FSI.

FSI sounded like a good alternative to the Big 2 - that is until their failure to communicate with us - giving me false hopes, false promises. I have no doubt that FSI is good for some florists - ones who need a low-cost sending option, who may not have Merc. or Dove, who may not have a wire service related POS, or who may be a low sending shop (heavy on the local biz...).

Personally, FSI has a way to go before it meets any of my needs - starting with an area field rep and going on up. Do you know that once the rep. signed us up he NEVER once returned any of my calls? Never once showed up in my shop since the day he signed us up? Never addressed ANY of my membership problems??? ALWAYS had to call FSI directly.

Oh well... I'm sticking to my guns - based on my experience, FSI is not a valued wire service.
