Google just launched a portal to help website owners assess whether their sites are friendly to be viewed on mobile phones. It's called HowToGoMo

GoMo features an emulator where you can see how your site looks on a smartphone. (It was so popular/busy this morning when the site officially launched that it crashed several times before I could actually get a test in.)

Pretty slick and most helpful. You can also view a list of Google-approved vendors if you want to build a separate mobile site. For me, having a mobile-friendly site (instead of trying to maintain 2 sites) is still the best route.

Hope you'll take the time to test your own site. :)

Pretty cool..... my site loaded in 1.4 seconds, way faster than the recommended 5 seconds... Thanks RYAN~!!

And thanks to you to Cathy...

Thanks Cathy. What a cool little tool for those of us dinosaurs who do not have a smart phone. I often wonder what it looks like and now I know.......that I have some work to do.

Crud ~ maybe I just need glasses but I am afraid I'm not quite where I need to be for my site to be easy to shop.

Here is a screen shot of my report card.
