I just got off the phone with a florist that I do a lot of business with. She is dropping TF and staying with FTD, we are dropping FTD and staying with TF so we are working out a direct thing. Anyway, I asked her why she chose FTD over TF and she said that they were so much cheaper. So we got out our respective statements to find out that she is NOT charged for
Quality assurance
monthly directory subscription
and is ONLY charged $49 a month for membership. This is not a small town membership fee, there are 12 other FTD florists in her town.
It's nice to know that FTD plays this game with the Qand A
I have always known that the membership fees differ TF does that also, but I was not aware that these other fees were optional. It's not like she even negotiated it, she had never even heard of these fees.
Just another nail in the FTD coffin for me.. It's probably a good thing that I'm finding these things out now, it makes the decision to drop them that much easier.
