I'm sooo happy. It's past 5 pm, the sun is still out and guess what I just saw?? While I was bringing in the trash cans from the curb, birds flying in from the south heading north!! WOO HOO!!! Spring is on its' way!!!

oh goodness, they just flew south from here (and they stop for days on our stream downtown - blocking traffic and all)

birds are swarming here. Have to fill my feeders every day. Hubby just came in and yelled at me for putting a feeder out the back door. The birds were sitting on the hood of his truck, opening the black oil sunflowers, eating the meaties and leaving the shells all over the truck. :tongue:
I put the feeder there (at the back door) and I can stand there watching them as they hop around my feet. They bounce around on the roof of the "old shop" (the new porch) and it sounds like thousands of scratching toes!
Only problem, the "bird" dog labrador (who can't run) tries to chase them.
Spring is coming....snow tomorrow (2-4") and then 40's on Saturday!

Rhonda, we have a dog that chases birds too! He doesn't chase the cats anymore (they just lay down and play dead - no fun there!) So he is off and running and bouncing up and down trying his darnedest to catch a bird! He looks like an idiot

I keep wondering when he will get a clue????

Yeah spring is coming. Had a nice whiff of skunks last week. and bird song!

and hubby's been visiting greenhouse clients this past week. definitely looks like spring inside and feels like it too.
