Jim,

Welcome back! Your return will be appreciated by many here on FlowerChat.

How has life been?

Frank

Hey Frank,

Thanks for the welcome. Things have been good. Busy, lots of changes but good. I'm in the beginning stages of starting a new shop. At this point I am trying to pin down a building and then go from there. I am still trying to decide on a high visibility location with the rent to go along or a low vis building with better parking and lower rent but not the traffic.

Anyone have any opinions on that, I would love to hear them.

Jim

They always say location,location.....I've been in both & I can tell you that the shop with the best traffic (cars & foot) worked for me. My rent is higher, but the business is there to comfortably cover it.
Unless you have a ton of $$$ for advertising, promos, marketing I'd definately go for the high visibility.
Then again, I'm on the east coast & maybe things work differently here.
Good luck with your decision!
Terri

Hey Patty and Audra,

Sure missed all of you.. I have been having fun reading all the back posts.
It's interesting how some things are still the same. It's nice to see lots of folks that I remember and they are still here and doing well.

Jim

bout bloody time......we had no idea what happened to you...just up and disappeared!!
Hey Jim...you nuts or sumthin??...you want back INTO the flower biz??

Ah Mikey, you know how it is. Kind of an addicition :beer Lol! Guess being a corporate clone got old faster than I thought it would. Besides, I missed all you guys and how can I get on the board and delight everyone with all of my wit and wisdom if I'm not truly a florist ?

It's going to take me a while to get up and running. I have the unfortunate situation of being a really good paying job and I may be nuts but I'm not stupid. Ha! so I need to get everything totally in place before I make the leap.
