i am now in the process of taking online classes through Penn-Foster college to get my floral deploma. the grocery were i work has a floral department. starting on the 29th of march i will become head florist. i have done some work in other stores but never really had any training beside trial and error.

thank you all for the warm welcome. im very excited to learn and share new ideas and designs.

i dont know what all i can contribute as of yet, im sorta just looking for my own style and ideas through others works and designs. i started in floral helping out at valentines at wal-mart. about all they would let me do is water and do some very simple cut, fluff,and drops. i loved watching the florist come up with all these fantasic vases full of living art and thinking how other people would see the same thing. after i started at kroger (owens) i started helping out there. my husband suggested checking into online or community classes. i started with pen-foster and fell in love. now the florist there is moving and i am taking the department. not large but it makes me happy, what more can you ask for in these times. i haVe ideas but im not sure how to start . i guess that is one of the main reasons for coming to this sight.
