My name is Jamie Masvero and I am a Floral Design Teacher at Klein Oak High School in Spring, TX. I have been teacher floral design for 2 years now and have grown to love it!

I am a member of the TSFA, Texas State Florist Association and also received my TMF, Texas Master Florist, this summer.

It would be outstanding if such a course existed here in Canada , as well, in high school!

Hi Jamie! I'm glad you popped in to visit. This is a wonderful place to exchange ideas and learn a lot about having a successful business.

Texas has a big program teaching in the high schools. The class had been taught in the past as a agriculture class. This year floral design is a fine arts credit. Many of the best teachers are Texas Master Florists. The students have the opportunity to test for certification in the spring if they desire. The exam is administered by the Texas State Florists Assn. Last year we tested about 400 students in 3 locations.
