<turning hat around on head so visor is in the back>
Well, I think this is pretty good news! You know, I try to gather every order that comes to my area because I need the outgoings to pad my monthly sales figures and to pay my delivery drivers.
To me, the more cross-branding, the better it is for my wire numbers! These big retailers use their incredible brand power and marketing muscle to convince customers that otherwise might not buy flowers to use them, which, of course, has the potential for ME to get more orders a month. What's to complain about here, right? We all know we cannot survive without that wire hookup sending us work...
Let's get real...this is the future of flower sales and anyone not jumping on *this* bandwagon is in real danger of getting run over by it. Why, can't you see in the future where ALL orders will come from these huge multinationals? Being a filler florist is the ONLY way to survive this onslaught, and the idea of being a corporate filler/employee/drone makes me tingle inside with anticipation of margin squeezing and over-promised commitments that will SURLY come as the highly paid bean-counters at Sears and Jo-Annes justify their salaries by convincing the executives that 45-50% cut is more in line with the "corporate mission" then the current 28% is!
Whew, that was quite a sentence..sorry about running on like that but, you know, more orders are coming as a speak and I see nothing but dollar signs...yippee!
