Being in the floral industry for over 40 years, I've experienced all facets of this wonderful industry. From growing plants in the mid seventies to owning our retail floral venue since 1980 I've enjoyed a great journey. Inducted into The American Institute of Floral Designers (aifd.org) in 1996 has been an incredible source of information and exposure, with wonderful contemporaries that are a constant force in our industry. My foliage growing backround has been an inspiration with my retail shop and in the "porch" scaping section of our business. Also a great asset has been my interest in the decor field, filling in financial gaps while our economies enjoy their roller coaster rides. I"ve begun my blogging life with theauthenticflowerguy.wordpress.com with critical, real iand downright fun information for all of us florists. Trust me, I've experienced some ups and downs over the years and really want to share with my fellow mates lots of design information that is real and valuable.
