For fun-mindless and useless movies, john hughes was great.

I loved them.

I liked his movies too.

My favorites are The Breakfast club, Home alone and Trains, planes and automobiles.

I liked how all his movies are in the same town.

I also loved his attention to detail.
If you ever watch Home alone again, Notice how the ENTIRE move is in red green and white. EVERYTHING is, the walls, the furnishings, the clothes. It blew my mind when I noticed it one day. There may have been mention of it- but I never heard it. In fact I only noticed it a couple of years ago. I can watch it over and over again. I LOVE Christmas movies, especially funny ones.
 
I've watched Planes Trains and Automobiles so many times I actually recite the script word for word, really. It's one thing I do with my self when I'm driving home 6 hours from an event in the early hours. Let's see.. first line.. "I gotta go... "tap tap tap" I gotta go". Next line: "Six hours of staring at ads, were not curing brain cancer".

Love his movies.
