Jump the gun again....

Seem the News cast jump the gun again about the manhunt of 5 people entering the USA through our country.
THey have been reporting this for the last 2 weeks on a word of a convict who is now into the USA. Seem he lied about the whole thing and now the FBI decided to cancel the manhunt.
So every news cast in the US blamed us the canadian again for letting the so called "possible terrorist" into their country.
When I want to enter the USA through a border I talk to a American Custom Agent. SO why are we to blame if the AMERICAN AGENTS are also not doing their job as much as the Canadian agents for letting them into this country.
Just does not make sense to me.
Or maybe it is something I don't quite understand.

Luc, its human nature to try and find a scapegoat when you screwup and can't or won't accept the blame for your actions.
 
It's a blame it on.....(insert name here) society. Heaven forbid we should take responsibility for our own actions.:(

I understand your anger. I don't know what the Canadian press has been saying, but I've seen nothing in the American press "blaming" Canada. Undoubtedly, the news accounts have indicated that entry to the US was via Canada. Please don't take offense at that. Indeed, the US border agents are the point of contact for crossings into the US. Americans have learned of serious lapses in our government's methods of monitoring and controlling the many people who enter the US. Consequently, our government has gone about making many changes regarding travel in general and international travel in particular. As a result, which result in some of the freedoms that we have enjoyed for over two hundred years being lost or diminished.
I'm sorry that you were offended, but hope you understand that few in the US blame anyone in Canada for any of our border difficulties.
