It would make logging in a heck of a lot easier if The canadian magazine sign wasn't on top of the log in bar....just sayin'

Oh good I thought it was just me. That ad is very annoying. I used to be always logged in but lately I have to log in each time. At this rate I may actually remember my password before too long!

And I just thought of something else...

I thought if I paid for FC I wouldn't be subjected to ads. What's up with that?

Yea, if you log out on another computer it'll set you out til you log in again....

I don't see the ad creating a problem.... it's small and centered for me..... but.... have to see what's up with it, I'll talk to Ryan today.

Be blessed, have a great day and remember, only YOU can make a difference in someone else's life.....

On my small pos screen at work it is over the logo..on my wide screen at home it is where it is supposed to be..

The Canadian Florist Magazine ad is small and in the center, so it doesn't interfere with me at home, or at work on the bigger screen.
However, I agree with Shannon, I thought that with the paid subscription to FC we did away with the ads?
Actually, I don't really mind, but hey, it's the principle of the thing right?
So, what's the deal?

It covers my log in and drives me crazy. This will be the last time I spend 10 minutes logging in. When the ad moves or goes away I will be back! Happy spring to all. See you whenever!

We're testing the ad position - it's been disabled for now until we can get that issue sorted. (Away at a conference right now, so it's turned off until I get back next week.) Might take a few minutes to stop displaying.

I realize this is an old thread, but since I was away at the time and didn't answer this important question I wanted to revisit it now.

And I just thought of something else...

Last year we did offer an ads-free subscription option. However, the overwhelming response was "we don't mind the ads, it's not worth paying for them to go away". (Which is great - I really appreciated that feedback.)

When we announced the new paid membership options on Jan 5th, we said: "The advertising on FlowerChat will be overhauled to primarily feature companies who have purchased a vendor account". To date we've featured a number of vendors in the newsletter, but haven't done a lot of display advertising. We will be bringing back the display ads over time.

Here's what's important to know:
  • The ads will be primarily from vendors who are supporting FlowerChat
  • We will cap the number of display "impressions" each person sees per hour
  • We don't want to be intrusive (The banner placement that started this thread was an epic fail)
  • Free members will see more ads than Pro members, and unregistered users will see more ads than Free members

I'm happy to answer any questions about this, and welcome all suggestions.
