MSFGA sent a donation to the Louisianna State Florists Association gained from auction at our Fall Show. I received a nice thank you letter from Bob Peden Sec/Treas of LFA
"Thank you so much for the generous donation to the LSFA Katrina Fund. Things are still in chaos, so we don't know the extent of the damages to the florists of Louisiana. I just sent out a newsletter to all the addresses I have. I hope we start getting a response from some of our members. I will keep you posted and send you an account of all funds received and paid out. 100% of the funds will go to the victims. There will be no administrative fees."
Sounds like there is still very little communications between existing and pre-existing business there. Hopefully things will soon be better for them seeing as New Orleans is welcoming tourists again and hotels, bars, and shops seem to be re-opening.
