Hi peoples! Just thought I'd take a minute and say Hi! We've been closed now for over a year. May 30th 2011. I got approved for SSDI first attempt and Neal was approved the second attempt. We're doing fine! I don't miss the flower biz, 31 years felt like a long time. I do however, miss all the interaction with my customers. It's nice to finally have holidays to ourselves.

Mom is going to be 89 in four months and still doing great! Retirement didn't slow her down at all. She uses the computer herself and I finally got her confident enough to go on Facebook herself. We live in her condo basement, very nice, we love it! Finally got some new floor since the flood last Sept. That was sure an ordeal, but it all turned out for the better.

Neal had to sell his Harley when we closed and he is not real happy about that. He still has the Honda which he loves, but wishes he had a Harley again. Maybe it's a guy thing! We work up at church sometimes and help out in that way, doing what we can do. We love the Lord and try to show it in our daily life.

I see a few of you on Facebook, you who are my FB friends. Would love to have more of you as my FB friends. I knew so many of you way back when! Look me up Patty Ferris Gaylor and I will confirm. I loved my Flowerchat days, there will never be a repeat of that experience. Florists are some of the nicest people, you know?

I hope you are all doing well and are having success in your area of the floral biz!!!

Many blessings to you all, Patty

I'm glad all is well with you both. Our lives have a way of changing over the years. The florist biz hasn't gotten any easier lately. I'm glad there is a grassroots organization developing called Florists for Change. We have to stand up to deceptive ads and treat customers fairly and honestly if we are going to survive. Enough of that. I do feel that God is in control of each of our lives whether we like to acknowledge it. He has a plan for each of us. When you have a life threatening illness like my wife and I both have had, you learn to accept each day as a gift from God and take time to smell the roses each and every day! God be with you both!!

Hi Patty!

Glad to hear all well.... well almost... Neal should have kept the Harley and sold the Honda ;)

Blessings on you both... tell him I said howdy~!
