Has any one every been threatened by a wire service to be kicked out for stirring up too much trouble with other florists. I have. But, I'll save my story for later.

Well now that you brought it up we have to hear your story.

Do tell. :)

Well since you asked. First time was with AFS (remember them). They raised their rates. Called my rep. Got the usually BS. So I got out my book and started alphabetically in NJ calling every florist. They started calling-asking for free stuff.
He called me. "what letter are you up to? "we don't need you calling these florist and riling them up. We're losing money because of you" I think they went out shortly after that.

Second time was TF. They introduced the $20 quality assurance fee. ( Hmmm. why are they letting in "unqualified florists"? Don't they promote themselves as a "quality" wire service? etc.. You old timers know what I'm talking about) Called Hq. got nothing. Went to my TF book and started calling in NJ. Got a call from Mark. If I don't stop calling the other florists, my membership would be in jeopardy. Now, I'm scared. Continue calling. Get a call from the east coast rep (Amy, I think). Teleflora has the right to discontinue my membership at any time. If I refuse to stop calling, they will remove me from TF. Asked them when did I move to Russia. Last I checked I lived in the U S of A and free speach was one of my constitutional rights. continued calling but stopped using my name.
Never got kicked out thoug

I'm confused...what free stuff were they asking AFS for? As for TF, what is it that you were saying to the other florists that were making TF angry? Sorry I'm a bit lost! lol

well,
as I remember it... TF bought AFS, It had to have been in the last 10 years because when I lived in OKC AFS hqts was still there, Now it's TF hqts.

From what I understand, a lot of the less than desireable florists where "grandfathered" in when TF bought AFS.

If you don't mind me asking, Why not just quit TF if you are so unhappy?

got a very nasty call from my FTD rep after the TF rep kept faxing my resignation letter to FTD to shops that had both WS.........they couldn't threaten......I had already resigned..
Dang if it was that easy I'd have taken your way!!!
There are NO rules in their directory that bans your opinion from reaching other member's ears. Ta Da!!

I've stirred so much shiznit over the years I think I've forgotten half of it.

Once I sat down and did a personal "phone tree" and called every florist in the state about their new autoforward deal (early Dove) which said we could no longer select florists, that everything would be put on autoforward.

They didn't threaten to kick me out but did give me what I wanted if I would quit doing it. My orders never autoforwarded.

Squeeky wheels get the grease proved itself true.

Just remember who is the customer and who is the vendor.

Hmmm...that would be too easy, and I guess it must not work that way...

But then again, I've never really rilled them up much...or stirred the pot like Bloomz has...

And on todays menu our award winning chefs will be " stirring up " a miraculous concoction of.........................

Not aware of anyone that would ever resort to trying to stir anything up here at FC.
Wire Services are truly upstanding and honorable individuals, dedicated to providing their hard working, membership paying partners with the best and most lucrative services available.
You knew that right ? :)

Not in the manner that you explain, though I do know of a shop here that's being kicked out of FTD for not filling orders. So I guess that stirs us up in another way. There are many ways florists can stir the pot, not filling orders I send to you really stirs me up.
