Just need some help!

Hi, I just registered and can't figure out how to send general messages. So far, I can only reply to posted messages. And is there a way to read messages all at once or do I have to open each one? And is there a way to find threads about subject matters I am interested in? And can I start a thread? Sorry for all the questions, but I would love to get started! Thanks, Teresa
