It is time for all us floral professionals to come together and take Bloomnet down this Mothers Day. They have screwed us for long enough and they the order gathers take over and screw us also... such as Bloomstoday. Instead of sending wire orders via the Bloomnet system... lets call the shop direct and bypass Bloomnet. We all need to come together and put Bloomnet in the corner and put them under

This is why we are not Bloomnet; never were, never will be. Why are you Bloomnet in the first place? From all I hear it's nothing but under priced pictured items. Instead of uniting florists to refuse their orders, just drop them in the first place.

Large senders call orders b/c they know some florists will not report b/c they are too busy or they will lose the paper trail. At holidays, there are absolutely no exceptions in our shop. If you have a dove, use the dove. I don't want my phone lines tied up with an incoming order, unless you are not a TEL member.

Just saw Jim Mc Cann on Martha Stewart (ok don't hate me, it's a very long story) and he's showing how you can order roses on 1-800 flowers and receive a box of 10 stems, Marthiaish wrapping etc with food and instructions on how to arrange. There ya go ! Who needs a "BloomNuts" florist when you have good 'ol 1-800 to show you how to do it ? Unbelievable. And everyone in the audience just got $100 gift card to order online. Yea, that's the ticket Mc Cann, let's really support the local florist!!

I've said it before.. I'll say it again - If you're an OG and you market against me - in my very small market - Web, Phone book, etc..

I DO NOT FILL YOUR ORDERS - PERIOD! My stuff is tooo nice! I don't like making them look this good! :spintongu (Well maybe if you have a Billion Dollar order - then I would think about it??) :spintongu

We just finished our relationship with them at the end of April. We're free from their 39.99 fields of europe that includes our free delivery to many of the furthest destinations in the Asheville area. Gonna miss 'em...

Your quality will go way up! You'll once again be very proud of your arrangements! Best of all your profit margin will also increase, your spending will decrease and margin on sales will increase a lot!

We had a similar issue today. Mike called from HQ and demanded to know why we had rejected ALL of these orders. At this point of time we had rejected 2 orders. One was not even close to our delivery area and the other order's value was way too low.

My sister handled this call. All the while she was polite and trying to explain why we had rejected the orders (even though we clearly stated in the rejection message). Mr. Mike wanted to hear none of it. He was the most rude and obnoxious individual we have had to deal with.

He went on and on about how we have to fill orders no matter what dollar amount. We have to do whatever they say, when the say it and how they say it. At this point we politely hung up the phone. I jumped online, logged into BloomLink and suspended all orders. If a REAL florist, not 1800flowers, needs to place an order they will have to call us. Since our phones were ringing off the hook today, we refuse to devote any time to this nonsense.

Example :
Preferred shop with dozens of areas wakes up.
Decides to start rejecting or questioning low value orders to outlying areas.
Phone starts ringing.
Cautionary statements made.
Information comes in that shops recently signed refuse to fill discounted orders, refuse to stock codified product, and refuse to fill orders that can be beneficial.
Those shops still have good standing, still get plentiful orders, and still receive preferential treatment over the hard working honest slobs that do it right.
Shop that complains, after membership of a year, two, five, ten or more, gets the screws placed.
Nice !
It's strictly about the monthlies folks,,,bottom line,,,plain and simple.

When a shop, 25 miles away, gets an order for 29.99, and does some recon, only to find a dozen member shops closer,,, that will not fill, something is very , very wrong !
Oh well !
