The average rate I have come across is around a 25 dollar flat fee plus any extra materials.

I myself charge 35 dollars flat fee plus materials.

$50 flat fee no matter if it takes 5 minutes or 59 minutes. my plumber charges $70 for his goons to look at my boilers. my mechanic charges $60 per hour. why can't we?

I charge $35 per hour for my $8 per hour staff's time during wedding setups.

one important point, you are not selling product, so you have to cover other overhead costs with the sale of labor.

€30 =$ 38 per hour .min charge $20, their materials supplied all extras at our full retail prices

Thanks everyone- and Joe,... my husband especially thanks you for saying almost word for word what he said to me earlier (in our disagreement):argue:

your husband is a wise man and should have his every need tended to by you.

joe

p.s. please don't call Anna and ask if that happens around here, she will just laugh.
