have a safe and intensive Labour Day weekend my friends.....you ALL work so very hard, we seem to forget that we too, deserve, a little time to ourselves!!

This is my 6th and final year volunteering at the MILD (Michigan invitation labor day) Cup. Our group is passing it along to a new group. For 6 years we have been hosting over 100 teams of youth soccer for a two day tournament. I have done every thing from traffic duty (people are like sheep) trash duty, net set, registration, food and any other grunt job needing to be done - best job riding golf cart duty. I've met some great people and some not so great people. And the weekend has always landed on my birthday. So next year will be for ME.

To everyone else - have a great weekend.

BOSS - when you're done with the kitchen, I have a bedroom ready to go with paint, care for a road trip.

ALSO, remember that MOST growers are ALREADY pinching back their ROSE plants, for Valentines, so, for the next little while, RED roses, especially Freedom & Forever Young, will be in short supply!!

Hey all

Everyone have a great weekend!!!! i am going to cut pampas grass as it is in its prime right now . We have areas here that are chucked right full so i will cut it and put it in the cooler before it goes seedy. We use so much of this stuff with fall right around the corner , and it lasts a good long time.Joanne

The husband and I are tearing off the front porch, rebuilding it and painting it to match the rest of the house. We're adding the fifth color to the porch and will have a "painted lady" when we're done.
Just hope the marriage can survive another project.:>

Tomorrow I'm off to Mississauga to visit a friend. Back to London on Sunday for a Plunging Pooch event.

Monday, Alana and I are off to the Tub and Cypress Lake... can't wait.

She's nervous about our balloon ride on Thursday (because of the incidents this summer). While I'm not discrediting her fear, this is the child who jumped off a cliff in Bolivia with a sail on her back, swam with caymans, rode a bike down the World's Most Dangerous Road and so much more. She promised to "suck it up", but I would have to hold her hand the whole flight... that's going to be awkward taking pics.
