"Hi my name is Lucas Chavez and I started working with Creations by Jean in Richmond, Texas, I recall when I walked into the same shop I now own and asked for a job, Jean's response was "She didn't hire men". On the following week she called me back. While working in Richmond, I also was asked to come to Houston to work for A Perfect Event, a special event company, which was owned by the late Mr. Randy Wong. I worked creating and designing for many special events during my stay with the company, I gained experience about the industry and met many people that I respect and can call friends. In 2002, I started my own business and thanks to God, hard work and my own creative style, I started LC Floral Designs. That same year, I also acquired the little shop where the owner once told me, "She didn't hire men". Owning a flower shop is a difficult task, but with determination, courage and good spirits, I can run the best little flower shop in Texas and be successful at it too".
