leaving Teleflora

just make sure you sent a certified, receipt return letter of voluntary termination with the specific date. (usually the date for directory publishing). I told them as of ex: 30 April 2009, I shall no longer send nor receive any Teleflora orders.
Make sure your bills are paid in full, no orders for products or co-op ads. I have not had any problems with leaving FTD nor TF (3 times) by doing that. I also did not have any POS or Credit Card Clearing with either of them.
Good Luck.

Ditto to what Ronda posted. Make sure you put it in writing, get it mailed in time and don't owe them any money. Also, make sure you're leaving for the right reasons. For me, they were just costing me too much money. Good luck

The best thing you can do is make sure you follow their termination instructions exactly. If you have dove or pos support you will also need to send letters to them, attention specific people at specific addresses.

When I left Teleflora a year ago they are now requiring a 60 day notice for termination of support for pos.

Do everything exactly as you need to according to their termination procedures and you shouldn't have any problems.

I recently left TF too. Please make sure that you send registered letters to every department that you need to...I also sent one to web services demanding that they remove the find-a-florist storefront that they had set up in my shop name (they took it down).

Be prepared for the phone calls with special deals to keep you as a member. And they don't seem to update their call lists so I still get calls to buy codified product, etc..

yes!!!!!

1. THEY WILL TRY TO CHARGE YOU FOR THE DIRECTORY LISTING FOR THE NEXT QUARTER.
2. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR AS MUCH COOP ADVERTISING AS THEY CAN.
3. IF YOU OWE THEM ANY MONEY, THEY IMMEDIATE TURN IT OVER TO A COLLECTION AGENCY AND WILL NOT RETURN PHONE CALLS OR DISCUSS ANY BILL DISCREPANCIES.
4. YOUR REP WILL LOSE YOUR NUMBER.

GOOD LUCK.....I ONLY WISH WE HAD DONE IT A YEAR AGO.

So, what happens to your POS? TF also process's my credit cards. My POS isn't paid off yet.

If I recall correctly, you will need to pay off your pos, and then cancel (another directory cycle).

As for the credit card processing, you will need to contact another clearinghouse and set up everything with them. POS support will be the opposite of helpful when it comes to reprogramming your new credit card clearing. Contact the new clearinghouse prior to quitting Teleflora!!!! The new cc people will need to look at your software and see if they can reprogram it themselves. You should NOT need to buy/lease a credit card terminal (the little swiping machine)...it can all be done straight through the pos (but that's a whole different scam story).

Once you quit, make sure you fill out the necessary paperwork with your bank blocking Teleflora from accessing your account. As it is now, they have all the access they want to your checking account and can debit your acount for whatever they deem necessary.

Unfortunately, the contract we all signed to join is iron clad and basically waives all your rights.

Additionally, if you owned your URL, make sure they sign it back over to you!!!! Contact webservices prior to quitting and they can help you there.

If you do a n archive search here, there is a ton of information and people's experiences to read about. Get a huge glass of wine and have at it.

Fortunately we do not have a TF pos system and haven't done any co-op advertising with them for years.
I'm hoping for a clean, stress free break. Their fees are just too high for the services they provide. My favorite was the $20 per month "quality controll program" charge they implemented 2 years ago.
I'll post back with an update once we've finalized the process with them.
Thanks for everyones input.

Change your ADMIN contacts for your DOMAIN NAME

I checked your main domain name and it's registered with NETSOL. You probably did that through Teleflora.

As it stands now, all of your ADMIN/TECHNICAL contact information is ALL ABOUT THEM rather than you, with a LOCK on any changes.

http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/newlondonflowers.com

You'll need to have NETSOL unlock your domain and give you the control and that will take an email from Teleflora to have them release it.

Each travel voucher is good for airfare for two adults to a wide selection of locations in the Caribbean, Mexico, USA, Canada, UK and more. Travelers must pay for the lodging at the location of their choice, including Hilton, Starwood/Sheraton, Hyatt and Ritz properties. Vouchers are fully transferable, and may be used to provide a florist with a well-deserved vacation away from the yucky greyness of February, or can be used as promotional items in store.
