Glad I booked my Dad's flight home next week a bit ago....he travels with lots of medication, a battery powered scooter, and a portable O2 concentrator. Looks like another $50 (or more) add on for his return trip in September.....I think he'll make his medicare pay for his new home thanks to the upgrade in travel. Glad the Republicans win this one? BTW....fuel oil delivered today in Maine $4.55/gal * cash sale only
How many real people can afford 1000 to 2000 gallons to heat their homes next winter?

Always Sorry to have to remind you that, THE DEMOCRATS are in the MAJORITY in both the SENATE and the HOUSE, and since 2002.

While you and a few others would rather blame GB, facts are that, every President is subjected to the WHIMS of both houses.

With Harry (the body) Reid as the Senate Majority Leader and Diane (Franken) Feinstein as his coconspirator, and Nancy Pelosi as the Speaker of the House, just today, they all agreed to another PORK BARREL SPENDING BILL to subsidize the farmers (big agro business) with another 290 BILLION DOLLARS in taxpayer dollars.

Now GB tried to veto the PORK but they (the Demoncrat Majority and even some of the RHINOS) overrode his veto!

On the flip side, the DEMOCRATS are halting the money which our TROOPS need to fight our war in Iraq. In fact, Diane (Franken) Feinstein tried to add her usual ILLEGAL ALIEN AMNESTY addendum as part of that bill, which would allow another ONE MILLION to walk right into our country along with their children and parents under the guise of LETTUCE PICKERS, because no Americans will do that job! Fortunately, enough US Citizens got wind of her SCAM, called, emailed, and faxed their elected representatives, and she had to withdraw her amendment.

But, like a BAD DREAM, these out to lunch Illegal Alien advocates will keep coming back.

And, did you know that, ALL THE DEMONCRATS are still preventing our OIL COMPANIES from drilling for new Natural Gas and Oil on our own US Soil to include all 48 Coastal States as well as in Anwr, Alaska, and our continental shelf areas off the East and West coasts and as well as our own Gulf Coast.

The Senate hearings, as they grilled the CEOs from our own US Oil companies who produce the oil, gave the politicians a run for our money.

Those CEOs pointed out to all of those IDIOTS that, US Oil companies only realize a net profit of 4% after taxes while DA GOVERNMENT COLLECTION OF WINDFALL TAXES amount to over 12%. Our own State of New York WINDFALL TAX REVENUE per gallon is now at $.61 cents.

This planet, and during it's 4.6 BILLION YEAR history of existence, has WARMED and COOLED thousands of times, all at the sole discretion of the SUN, not MAN!

Ice caps have come and gone, came again, and will go again.

As to the BUTTERCUPS found in the stomachs of FROZEN prehistoric Mastodons, the jury is still out on that one.

Some theorize that, our planet's poles simply FLIPPED ONE DAY and in a heartbeat. May have been from the effects of an Asteroid or a Comet hitting the planet, or just an Orbital Hiccup which cause the shift.

No one really knows, but it did happen and the facts speak for themselves.
 
Whoever is responsible, will they pick up the pieces of broken lives when this is over?

Rhonda I can't imagine that kind of a fuel bill to heat a home. And I know it's going to get worse.
