We refuse all loblaws orders....just sent one back today to DR and called them to tell them not to send it back ot me.........The operator at DR put me through to someone at "flowers all hours"?? and the gentleman there told me he would talk to his supervisor to make sure we don't get any more of their crap. We'll see what happens!!

I wish there was a way to forward the e-mail addresses from these orders to floristdetective.com so that they could send an email to them with a link to their site showing what kind of rip off artists they really are......I can't find a contact link on floristdetective.com so maybe they don't/won't accept/send e-mails

All loblaws internet orders do have the e-mail address of the sender included on the merc message!!!

Hugh,
I am finding a peace with in myself that from now on, I am not filling for FTD period in support of everything is happening.
Also, I am keeping a close watch on Teleflora also.
Hugh, let me suggest to let them do their own thing and you do yours, and that is not accepting them. Eventually they will have problem down the road.

I honestly think this is going to create a big opportunity for FSI when they fully enter the Canadian market. FTD and TF are doing little to distinguish themselves, and FSI at the very least will not be as expensive, and at on the plus side has a no supermarket policy.

Hmmm... thats neat...are you adding these to your database for future marketing?

Luc,
I don't know about my finding peace with this Loblows crap but we've NEVER filled any of their orders and won't! We've FOR the same order to DR 6 times then SUS the merc and next morning refused the same order by phone!!!
It isn't a matter of only doing my own thing; they make florists look bad by promising what they cannot deliver but most of the public don't know what's really going on and that is "orders filled to value" which isn't what the consumer ordered! Who do you think the staff at Loblows blames that on???To add insult to injury you're supposed to deliver it FREE !!
Let's see: 25% OFF + FREE Delivery + 20% commission for Loblows: "Please sir, can I have some more?".
All we need is florists filling these orders and in a year or two we'll all be "working" for Loblows because "they" give such good value!!!
If another "florist" did this FTD wouldn't put up with it, would they?

We have a couple of the addy's but tircky, tricky........how do I market someone who's order I refused to fill and was delivered by another florist??? 4 or 5 days late or never delivered at all because FTD couldn't find some sucker to do the dirty work??????

We had 1 for v.d. and FTD called for the 3rd time on the 16th to see how much it would take for us to fill the order.........told the girl that I wouldn't do it for any price!!!!!! so I'm assuming they couldn't get that one delivered at all. So how do I market that customer??....I do have the e-mail addy

Good to see!

Way to go, John and all! I don't fill any Loblaws etc orders either. And I have started to really check out the orders that print up on my merc, and reject all that are from known order gatherers, or from florists that charge a delivery fee on their web site, but don't pass it on to me, the filling florist. (has anyone received an order from Simon Says Roses, out of Victoria?) If you want to save the merc. reject fee, send an ask message to see if it is alright to have the recipient come in and pick up the flowers in your shop, since there is no delivery fee included. Lowblows will send a cancel every time. I won't be treated like a prostitute!

Don't they use a ZA (sending only) account?

Weston is 75-0043AA for sure.....just double checked the rejected orders
Ottawa may end in ZA but not sure as I have it listed in our do not fill list without a suffex

Im afraid FTD is masking the source of the orders now. Last two orders I got over the mercury were from HQ and 'order originated' in "se1201", and "CH1001" for the other one.
They arer

Doug is correct ZED!!....

as it stands, I think our mistrust of the wire services is making us just a little overzealous...NOT THAT we shouldn't question the source of such orders...but THIS is getting slightly hysterical.....

If the florist has a ZA suffix to their FTD number, it is a sending florist only.
