IF you want to get rid of Loblaws etc call this number 1-800-472-7363 ; apparently the people who answer this number are the ones who are sending the orders from 75-0043AA or 75-0043ZA and they say they will no longer send orders to you. FTD is trying to phone out several orders I've rejected over the past couple of days; after telling them no a few minutes ago they called the number of another shop (never FTD) that closed 2 years ago but I answered so I don't know what they're going to do now. :hammer:
I spoke to domestic retrans and told them that if they FOR any orders BACK to us that I'm going to SUS my merc til after MD but now I'm seriously considering dropping FTD since we flower shops are not getting orders to send anymore, the OG's are getting them all and I know now that it won't hurt my shop at all as I can send direct on credit cards! I think it's time that the OG's pay to be a member of the WS and the WS's call us with a credit card and a 100% order; the sending OG can pay the 7% and the monthly fees to keep the WS going and they can make their money off a sending fee or not at all. :>

Rosie, they have flower shops in some areas like near Sunny's but they choose to send them to someone to fill (at least in Sunny's case) so it would seem they want to collect the sending commission but not fill????? I'm confident that most of their orders go to independent shops!
I really don't understand why they think they can go online, lowball everyone else and then expect them to fill it :hammer:

Because 1-800-Flowers has been doing it for years and getting away with it?

G-d, I hate those people.

On the subject of Loblaws

Got an order from Loblaws for ftd c8-3078. What would my fellow Canadian florists charge for this little bomb?

Just curious.
D.

I don't have the "Official FTD Recipe" but looking at a picture I'd start from $55+, before delivery.

c8-3078

Yeah I wanted 51.00 plus 8.50 delivery. They send it out 48.99 total. I guess they don't want too many florists buying their groceries. They won't have any money left if they fill them, or from losing the orders to their low ball tactics.

In my world

Orders for less than the SRP +DC do not get filled...

Lot's of CANCER in those orders

Looking in from the outside it would seem that this whole TFTD thing has really taken a turn for the worst.
The only way to get rid of CANCER is to either Cut It Out and do Rehab(Chemo) or you can let it Grow Back without noticing that a spot was missed.

Let the CANCER feed off itself and eventually it will not have any food to survive. Nah that will never happen because there are too many FEEDING TROUGHS.

Doug, and other florist would like to comment on this?
Why does Loblaw send you the order to A REAL FLORIST instead of a loblaw in TOronto that can fill their orders?
You would think they would try to keep the dollars in their pockets>?
Luc

"You would think they would try to keep the dollars in their pockets?"

Luc, it is more profiable for them to have orders filled by someone else. The commission and rebate generates more income than actually providing all the products and services required to fill orders. Plus, they keep all the buyers' info for further marketing....

Which delivery sounds more special - one from them or one from a trusted local florist?

They are 'keeping the dollars in their pockets.'

Roger that

Ditto. If they tried to do it themselves they would need bricks and mortar investment and have the staff plus a customer service department a mile wide and a mile deep. Far easier to put up a 400 item web page.
Doug

Hi Doug... 59.99 plus delivery here. We are getting them from the same da mn place for... are you ready for this? 39.99 including delivery!

Our ftd rep. likes Loblaws

Our rep says Loblaws is good because they are taking back orders from 1-800 and pro-flower, too bad the bean counter who set their prices had a few beads missing off the old abacus.

It boogles my mind if the name of the game is to sell orders does it not follow to sell for at least what the market will bear. Why under sell it by $20.00 or $30.00 an order.
